The moment our floatplane touched down in Katmai National Park, we were greeted by the unforgettable sight of a coastal brown bear pulling salmon from the lake just steps away. Throughout the week, we watched these giants in their element — fishing, roaming, and even growling loud enough to carry for miles during their occasional disputes. To stand so close to such raw power and beauty was humbling, surreal, and something everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
